The Nigerian President, Mohammadu Buhari has made his position over the recent killing that happened at Lekki toll gate, that he is avoiding to debate over the killing until there are facts finding by the judicial of inquiry.
This was made known through a communique by his special media aide to the president, Garba Shehu on Sunday.
The president was criticized for his guided silence after his last presidential speech, on the engagement of the Nigerian army at the Lekki Toll Gate that led to the killing of some #EndSARS protesters and leaving others injured.
In connection to that, the President has given support to the Lagos State government judicial of inquiry to carry out their facts finding on what unraveled on that day. He appealed to people to remain calm and resolute over everything, as he is doing everything within his power to grant justice to all.
He called on those who have been looting to put an end to it. He said, “Parents should ask their children to return those items that they carted away, while women should reject and ask their husbands to return those items”.
His government is doing everything possible to see that the demands made are speedily implemented and hope that the nation is restored back to its glory.
