I am Troubled Over the Killing of Protesters in Nigeria – Rihanna


The popular R&B musician, Rihanna Fenty, has expressed her feelings over the killing of Nigerians last night October 20, by the Nigerian Soldiers during the #EndSARS protest.

The Lagos state government yesterday declared a 24-hour curfew as a result that, the #EndSARS protest which is meant to disband the Special Anti-Robbery Squad and the total reform of the Nigerian Police System was hijacked by hoodlums which led to the burning down a police state at Orile-Iganmu. Lagos State.

Despite the curfew announced by the State government, protested ignored the order and still blocked the Lekki Tollgate in solidarity, but soldiers were deployed to disperse the protect which ended up in shooting that led to the death of some protesters, while others injured.

Rihanna in her tweet said, “I cannot sit and see the torture and brutality that is being inflicted on the nations across our planet, it is such a betrayal to the citizens, the very people put in place to protect us are the ones we are most afraid of being murdered by. My heart is troubled by Nigeria. It is unbearable to watch”.
