The EndSARS protest have taken a different dimension as youth have taken their cry to the door of Ooni of Ife AdeyeyeEnitanOgunwusi in Ile – Ife, Osun State.
Most protester all assembled at the Palace holding their placards with inscriptions, “Stop SARS Brutality, Intimidation, Extortion and Killings” and others “#EndSARS Now”.
In Lagos, the Deputy Governor Femi Hamzat condemned the actions of SARS under the shadow of carrying out their duty. He calls on end to police brutality and expect that the bad eggs will be fish-out.
He stressed that, “the police cannot hurt our children, because of their looks or carrying laptops. You cannot find them guilty due to his or her looks”.
In Delta State, a different narration came in where a sergeant, Patrick Okuone was allegedly killed by angry protesters. It was reported by the spokesperson of the Nigerian Police Force, Frank Mba, on Friday, that the protesters carted away one service AK47 rifle with batch number 56-2609008 and 25 rounds of live ammunition.
In Abuja, the police dispersed Nigerians who joined in the protest in order to express their grievances. It was said some armed policemen were chasing protesters with gear gas, who marched on the Central Area of Abuja.
On Thursday, among those who joined in the protest where, an activist, DejiAdeyenju, the Bring Back our Girls Convener, Aisha Yusuf, and leader of Revolution Now, Omoyele Sowore.
