The Nigerian President, MohammaduBuhari today presented the 2021 national budgets at the Hallow Chamber of the National Assembly. The President presented a budget of N13 trillion to the lawmakers. The budget was presented amidst tied security and keeping to the protocols of distancing base on the Covid-19 rules
The President was accompanied by his vice, YemiOsinbajo, among others ministers.
The Senate President in his remark said, while the 2020 budget was specifically for “Job creation and economic stability”, the 2021 budget is projected towards consolidating on the achievements of 2020.
The President thanked the house members for their endless effort despite the global and economic challenges faced, which has a negative impact on the nation. Furthermore, the 2021 budget is tagged as a “Budget of Economic Recovery and Resilience”. The president said the 2021 budget is meant to complete as many ongoing projects within the country.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila gave the closing remarks assuring the President of the quick passage of the budget and collaborating with all ministries and agencies.
