In the wake of the October 10 governorship election, today eleven political parties have decided to throw their support on the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Eyitayo Jegede (SAN). This was announced by the Chairman of Social Democratic Party (SDP), Ondo State Prince Oladele Ogunbameru in a press conference at Akure. By Moses NkomShebayan
He said the decision of all parties to step down for the PDP was made with all parties’ leaders and stakeholders of PDP. This will go a long way in changing the statoscope of the political struggle and the bulkiness of the responsibilities shoulder on INEC.
He further said, “The parties believe the good governance the people are yearning for will only be offered by the PDP”.
The PDP State Chairman, Hon. Fatai Adams upon the new development said, “The support from the 11 political parties’ shows how the party’s candidate EyitayoJegede is widely accepted, of which the party is winning the October 10 poll”.
The parties involved are Action Alliance, Action Democratic Party, Accord Party, All Progressive Grand Alliance, African Action Congress, and All Democratic Peoples Movement. Other parties are: Young Progressive Party, Social Democratic Party, All Peoples Party, New Nigeria Peoples Party, and National Rescue Movement
